High School - Tryout & Practice schedule

High school players:
Practices this year will have to be scheduled after 5:30 PM to accommodate the work schedules of our coaches. This means that for the first month of the season they will have to be on lighted turf fields which are in short supply, so practice times and fields will change daily. Below is the first weeks practice schedule. This schedule will be be kept on the website and updated there if they change. We are still in the process of securing fields so if a day currently does not have a practice listed it just means we are working on a field. We are working to try to keep practices scheduled centrally in the Redmond area but we may need to have some practices at fields in Woodinville.  Starting March 31 we will have enough daylight to start practicing at Marymoor Park #9 every day at 5:30. The practice times below are for all high school players the first week. Field addresses are on the website.

Monday 2/23 7-9 PM Marymoor Turf Field #1
Tuesday 2/24 5:30-7:30 Grass Lawn Park Field #1 (softball field)
Wednesday 2/25 7-9 Marymoor Turf Field #6 (softball field)
Thursday 2/26 7-9 Grass Lawn Park Field #1 (soccer field)
Friday 2/27 6-8 Grass Lawn Park Field #1 (softball field)
Saturday 2/28 10 AM-1 PM Marymoor Turf field #4

Important season dates

Lake Samm Eagles Lacrosse Families:
We have been very busy behind the scenes getting ready for the spring season. See below for important dates to remember and for exciting news on our High School Coaching staff!  As a reminder; registration is closing on January 30th.  We still have plenty of room at 3/4 so please tell your friends about us and invite them to the January 20th info night.  Registration is close to full at 5/6, 7/8 and highschool.

Any of the coach education sessions are open to confirmed coaches or folks who think they would like to coach. We are also working on a few coaching clinics just for Lake Samm coaches and will communicate those directly when set.

For the parent sessions we would love as many parents possible to attend.  As you know we are an all volunteer organization and need parents help during the season. We will ask that any parents that are able to attend either of the Scorer/Timer clinics or the Positive Coaching Alliance parent session please help communicate the info learned to a boarder group of parents within our program. We are happy to announce the following coaching appointments at High School level:

The new varsity head coach is Erin Gaebe. A two-time All-American in 2003 and 2004 at Mary Institute and Country Day School in St. Louis, Erin earned three letters in lacrosse and led her team to two state titles and one runner-up finish. She was chosen the Female Athlete of the Year in 2003 and team captain and MVP for lacrosse in 2004. In college she was recruited to be a part of the inaugural division one team at the University of Oregon under head coach Jen Larsen. She played attack wing and center from 2004-2008 where she also participated in coaching clinics and youth summer camps. Upon graduation Erin took a job with Pepsi and also coached in Portland at Sunset High School as well as Rhino summer leagues (Portland's equivalent of Starz). She recently moved to Seattle and is extremely excited to be a part of the Seattle lacrosse scene and looks forward to a great year with Lake Samm!

The new junior varsity head coach is Kristen Dick. She first started playing lacrosse in high school for Auburn Mountain View High School. She then played both Division III soccer and lacrosse and became the starting center for the Pacific University Boxers. She helped the team to four winning seasons and three consecutive years as the Pacific Northwest Conference Cup champions. After graduation, Kristen guest coached for the Lake Sammamish Lacrosse 7/8th grade team as well as the High School Varsity team last year. Now she is very excited to start working with the girls as the new head junior varsity coach!
